Dragon Ba349D Natter

DML (Dragon) released 2 models of the Natter a few years ago. One featured a wood and metal launch tower, the other a maintenance stand, engine and 2 figures. Dragons newest Natter kit (5547), at left, includes one aircraft which can be built as a an unmanned test aircraft or a piloted craft. Also in the box are the parts for an all metal launch tower, the maintenance stand, engine and 2 figures. There is a large pe fret with some parts for the tower and the aircraft, a decal sheet with markings for the test aircraft as seen on the box and two manned craft.

According to information I found on the web, only one manned flight was attempted, resulting in the death of the pilot. While at least one launch site was found, with several planes and towers, there is no evidence of operational missions. As I have an older kit in my stash (The one with the wood tower) as well as the new kit. I plan to display the all metal launch tower with an unmanned craft and a manned craft on the maintenance stand.
